The frame itself is larger than the listed dimension by 1 inch (As a result, the 8x8 frame has an outer frame dimension of 9x9), while the picture display area is slightly smaller than the listed dimensions by 0.35 inch for holding purposes (Hence, the 8x8 frame has a picture display area of 7.65x7.65 inch).
